BASIC MOUNTAINEERING WORKSHOP by Western Himalaya/Wild Himalaya Glamping Camp

Our goal is to make you physically and mentally prepare for the Mountaineering. It is a introduction workshop for all who wants to take them in the mountains. This Mountaineering workshop is set of many outdoor activities e.g. Trekking, Rock Climbing, Navigation, First aid, Snow Crafting, River crossing etc. We want to teach you everything which is required for the Mountaineering.

Dates – 14th to 24th April

Program

  • 02 Days warm up session at Narkanda on 2407 meters.
  • 04 Days long trek to Mount Shreekhand Base.
  • 02 Days to Reach at Summit.
  • 02 Days to reach back at base camp.

Itinerary

  • 01st  Day – Light exercise and Mountain manners introduction.
  • 02nd Day – Morning Jogging, Introduction of equipment and Rucksack packing training.
  • 03rd Day – First aid session during Trek.
  • 04th Day – Navigation practice during trek.
  • 05th Day – Rock Climbing Practice.
  • 06th Day – Base camp setup and Wilderness survival training.
  • 07th Day – Snow and Ice crafting.
  • 08th Day – Trek to summit 5227 Meters.
  • 09th Day – Back to Base camp.
  • 10th day – Closing ceremony at Narkanda.

Total Seats – 12
Fee – 36000 INR


Fee includes:-

  • 01 Instructor on 03 Trainees.
  • First aider and physician during course.
  • Mountain Huts and Camp.
  • 01 Sleeping bag and 01 Mattress for each trainee .
  • Transport during the Course.
  • Technical equipment during course.
  • All meals.
  • Maps and Telecommunication.
  • Trekking Permit.

Exclude:-

  • Personal clothing, Shoes, Rucksack.
  • Reading and writing material.
  • Mule or Porter to carry personal Rucksack.
  • Adventure insurance (Insurance is mandatory

Please Note:-

  1. Take your COVID-19 Vaccination certificate with you.
  2. Carry your own water bottles which can be refilled at every stay and stop.
  3. Follow your instructor and his guidance.
  4. Consumption of Alcohol, Smoke and any other Narcotic is strictly prohibited.
  5. Physical Fitness – To enjoy the trekking in Himalaya one should be physically fit. It is better to do some physical exercises and short treks a home before joining the workshop.
  6. Personal Qualities – One need to be a lot of tolerance and patience for adjustment with co –trainee and in mountains. One feels irritated due to non acclimatization and other such things in high altitude. On higher altitude one should not expect everything is perfect.
  7. Medical consideration – Do not hide any Sickness/Medical Problem/Physical Problem/Mental Problem/Disease/Dental problem before and during course.
  8. Telecommunication – Most of the place trainee will find the Network of JIO, AIRTEL, BSNL, In emergency we will carry Walkie Talkie.
  9. Food – Don’t expect for a big menu with several dishes, One will get the FULL, HEALTHY MEAL all the time.
  10. Clothing and Equipment – During this workshop one have to be in Mountain, Snow, Ice, Rain, Windy situation, and Cold /Warm situations. So one have to bring appropriate cloths. (After booking of course we will share a detailed list of Clothing and Equipment.
