Without further ado let’s get to the highlights of the trip in these rolling cold deserts of Indian Himalayas!

ITINERARY OVERVIEW
- Day 01- Arrive at Narkanda.
- Day 02- Narkanda to Kalpa
- Day 03- Kalpa to Kaza via Nako
- Day 04- Kaza (Kee Monastery, Langza, Komic Hikkim & Chichim)
- Day 05- Kaza to Tabo
- Day 06- Tabo to Rampur
- Day 07- Rampur to Shimla
DAY 01 – NARKANDA | 2760 mts |
Narkanda (2760mts) in Shimla hills, A small snow town with Ski slope and full with apple estates is just 70 kms from Shimla and is still Unexplored. The snow covered valley, house and farms make it a good place for acclimatize for Spiti trip. Its virginity intrigued us and hence we have introduced a camping experience in snow covered Mountains and pine trees.
- Pick up from Shimla. Beautiful drive up to Narkanda.
- Meet you co traveler at Glamping site Narkanda. Photography can be done in Eco Park Tanu jubber and local village.
- Evening will be lit within house bonfire BBQ and delicious cuisine.

DAY 02 – KALPA ONCE CALLED CHINNI | 162 kms | 08-10 hrs. | 2960mts |
Kalpa is Beautiful Settlement in Kinnaur. Legend has Kinnaur with all its beauty fell from the heaven as a gift from the Gods. In the lower areas of Kinnaur the slopes are covered with thick forest and Fruit orchards. Kalpa came to prominence when it was visited by British Governor General Lord Dalhousie in 1848. The most beautiful part about this settlement is – how magically the Buddhist and Hindu worshiping complexes were fused together architecturally and in belief. One can see the entire Kinnaur Kailash mountain range in the background of thetown.
- After breakfast we will start our journey to Kinnaur valley. Kinnaur is the Tribal District of Himachal with all modern facilities.
- Beautiful road journey goes be the Sutlej River and Famous Taranda Cliff.
- Roads are good up to Kalpa.
- On arrival at Kalpa check in to your warm rooms facing the mystic view of Snow Laden Kinner Kailash Ranges.
- Evening to leisure.

Nako is one of the last settlements of Kinnaur District. Surrounded with the Trans Himalayan ranges and view of Reo Perugyil one of the highest peak in Himachal.
DAY 03 – KAZA THE ULTIMATE HIMALAYAN TOWN | 208 kms | 06 – 08 hours | 3800mts |
Kaza or Kaja as the locals say is the headquarters of Spiti Valley in the Lahaul and Spiti district. The city is well developed with almost all infrastructures amidst dry cold deserts as context.
- After an early breakfast visit to Kalpa Buddhist and Hindu temple complex.
- We will further drive towards Spiti Valley via covering Roghi Cliff in Kalpa.
- We shall chain up our tyre at “Tinku Glacier’. After crossing Khab Bridge we will get a thin layer of Snow on the road and amazing views of Snow Covered Himalayan ranges.
- Visit to Nako Frozen Lake and Monastery.
- After Sum dowe will enter in Spiti Valley.
- After an Adventurous drive check in to your cozy and comfy rooms at Kaza.

DAY 04 – HEMLETS OF SPITI (LANGZA, KAUMIK,HIKKIM, KEE MONASTERY & KIBBER) | 66 kms | 6-8 hrs | 4205mts |
Beyond Kaza, the landscape is studded with some small settlements at a god forbidden altitude. These places still bear a post office, a police station, school, primary health department and a bus stand, functioning like in your city. This area has been declared as a fossil spotting site, taking one back to history of a medieval time. These clusters are spread along the contours, with dwarfed mud structures made from the context itself. The first sight of these settlements from far away leaves a person speechless, and then a story teller!
- After breakfast depart from Kaza into real Spiti. Head to Langza, Hikkim andKaumik
In a circuit and post Postcards from World’s highest Post Office at Hikkim. - Roads will be fully covered in snow which is best for photography and videography.
Picnic at Langza. - Head to the very iconic Key monastery. Located at an altitude of 4166 mts, was founded back in the
- 11th century. Alongside Spiti River, the monastery has an entire complex for lamas to live, study and practice.
- Get back to your cozy nests in the evening and enjoy the local and delicious cuisine of Spiti.
- After breakfast depart from Kaza into real Spiti. Head to Langza, Hikkim andKaumik
DAY 05 – TABO AJANTA OF HIMALAYA VIA NAKO | 150kms| 08-10hrs | 3050mts |
’Spiti’ means the ‘middle country ‘a name obviously given as a result of its location and traditional ties with both India and Tibet. In century ago, Rudyard Kipling wrote in his book, “A world within a world” Tabo monastery founded in the 996 AD the Tabo Gompa is the Oldest and Largest Monastery in the Spiti Valley.
Tabo Monastery also known as the “Ajanta and Elora of Himalaya”. Tabo village is one of the finest settlements in the Spiti valley.
- It is not an early start this morning wake up and warm up yourselves with a cup of Hot tea and coffee.
- Pack up and start your journey towards the “Tabo Village” clicking the pictures on the way .
- Check in to the best Home stay at Tabo.
- Gear up with your cameras to visit the Oldest Monastery of Spiti Valley ‘Tabo’.
- Experience the feel of Buddhist prayer an early chilly morning at Tabo Gompa.
- Evening to relax with the local hosting you with delicious meals.

DAY 06 – RAMPUR | 250 kms | 8-10 hrs | 1021mts |
“Rampur Bushehar” Once used to be the Princely state which was among the largest of the twenty eight Shimla hill states under the administration of British Raj. The town is situated at the left bank of Sutlej River.
Rampur being connected to the major trading routes that joined Indian markets with central Asia and Tibet the town was the hub for trading.
- After breakfast warm up your vehicle for a drive back in the valley towards Rampur.
- A complete day to feel the adventure of snow drive. Photography on the way and
experience of fresh snowfall.
DAY 07 – RAMPUR TO SHIMLA | 126kms | 04-06 hrs.|2206 mts |
- After breakfast we will head back to Shimla.
- The last leg of winter expedition. Grab some local souvenirs from the local market and will take the relaxing drive back to Shimla
- Shall chill around in between at nice café to share the experiences.

- The itinerary is subjected to changes according to climatic and weather conditions during the trip. During any natural calamity or detour, kindly listen to our experienced Trip Leader and follow his directions. Any cost or exchange of cash will be discussed as per situation.
- Carry your own water bottles which can be refilled at every stay and stop. Try and eliminate buying packaged water bottles to help reduce plastic disposal. (This is a small step from our side as travel partners and is totally dependable on the guest for execution)
- Carry dry nashta, dry fruits, and chocolates with you always.
- For self-drive vehicle carry your own snow chains and anti-freeze for Diesel.

- If cancelled within 07 days – Full Retention.
- If cancelled within 15 days – 25 percent of the total cost.
- Full refund if cancelled before 15days.
