Itinerary

Our journey starts from the 'Queen of Hills' SHIMLA, which is also the meeting point for all trekkers. The drive will take us through the beautiful village of Rohru, popular for its centuries-old intricate Kathkuni houses. We will then drive along the Pabbar River, followed by a visit to the ancient Hatkoti temple.
Janglik, the starting point of this trek, will welcome us at our stay for tonight, 'the trekkers hut'. Janglik is rich in history as it was a center of trade for the people of Kinnaur, who traveled here via Buran Ghati to sell rice and buckwheat.

Janglik, the starting point of this trek, shall welcome us at our stay for tonight, 'the trekkers hut '. Janglik is rich in history as it was a center of trade for the people of Kinnaur, who travelled here via Buran Ghati to sell rice and buckwheat.

Today we move forward towards Litham Thach, another meadow leaving the tree line behind. This is an indicator of gaining elevation as we say goodbye to the forests until summit. We shall walk approximately 3-4hrs and climb up to 11800ft today. Overnight stay in camps at Litham Thach.

Today we acclimatize while making memories. With Litham being our base for today, we shall trek to the surreal Chandranahan Lake. Legend has it that this mystical lake is the birthplace of goddess Hatkoti and geographically is the source of the mighty Pabbar river. We gain elevation of 13,800ft for acclimatization to the lake and descend down to camp.

The climb after Litham is very gradual up to Dhunda Thach. The campsite at Dhunda frames our summit for tomorrow in front of us. Sit in the lap of nature establishing a connection with these mountains, building your bond asking them to guide you ahead. And believe us, they will, making this climb an internal journey.

As thrilling as it must sound, today we summit Buran. We climb the mountain wall with our mind and body in total sync with one another. On reaching the top, soak in the panoramic view of Kinnaur Kailash ranges and Yulla Kanda. We then descend down slowly on ice fields to our riverside campsite for tonight.

We descend down to Barua village while the treeline welcomes you back at lower elevations. On arrival at the village we say goodbye to Buran as we drive back to Shimla. The trek ends in Shimla with summit certificates and unforgettable memories.
